Great Falls is a city also known as the Electric City that is in the geographic center of Montana. The Missouri River snakes through the area and the 5 hydroelectric dams are the reason for Great Falls being known as the Electric City. It is also the first major centre for southbound visitors from Alberta (Canada). As a result on any given weekend you will find plenty of Canadian license plates around the city. Recently (August 2007) the city's hospital played host to the quadruplet birth of Calgarian Karen Jepp.
